A rope is a collection of stones placed parallel to the player's own edges. The stones are not solidly connected, such as in a wall, but they should communicate with each other (that is, they should form a group).

A rope is useful to have, and is an example of the notion that it is often good to play in the "wrong direction". The benefits of ropes are that they make the player have 2 easy connection to create (between the edges and the rope) instead of a hard one.
