I really like DJ's comments, but I think a better place for them would be on his user page. A community portal, at least on the wikis I've seen, is something else:

• Wikipedia's community portal
• Meta-Wikipedia's "Goings-on page"

Not wishing to offend or to seem elitist, merely suggesting that personal expressions of happiness be placed on user pages, where they belong. turing 09:46, 17 Feb 2005 (CET)
